COFFS Harbour Music Society is giving local music lovers the chance to hear some of the world’s finest ensembles play during its autumn/spring subscription series.
The autumn program features the Ensemble Liaison playing Beethoven, Bartok and Gershwin; Paul Lewis, one of the world’s most sought-after pianists enchanting with Mozart, Schumann and Beethoven; and finally the Pavel Haas Quartet playing Haydn, Stanhope and Dvorak.
The Ensemble Liaison is the first concert in the program – showing Friday, March 26 from 8pm at Lecture Theatre D, Southern Cross University.
It promises to be an amazing concert, featuring three internationally acclaimed musicians – David Griffiths on clarinet, Svetlana Bogosavljevic on cello and Timothy Young on piano.
The trio formed Ensemble Liaison in 2006 with an outstanding debut concert for ABC Classic FM, which then evolved into a collective vision for a permanent ensemble combining the beauty of clarinet, cello and piano.
If you are interested in the best of chamber music and are thinking of becoming a subscriber, email Robin Renshaw, enquiries@coffsmusicsociety.com.a u to obtain the current concert program brochure.
