THE achievements of more than 50 hard-working staff and volunteers have been celebrated at an event run by the Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour Daybreak.
About 170 people, including 51 workers nominated to receive awards, their employers, colleagues, partners and family joined Rotarians at the Pride of Workmanship Award presentation night.
Rotary club president Geoff Bell spoke at the dinner of how thrilled the club members were to be able to celebrate so many workers in only the first year of running the Rotary Pride of Workmanship Awards.
He pointed to other events and awards programs which focused on business or tourism success and explained the need to celebrate the achievements of individual workers.
Motivational speaker Gary Haseldine urged award recipients to capitalise on their existing career achievements and formulate goals for their future success.
Pride of Workmanship is a Rotary project designed to encourage pride in personal performance in the workplace on the basis of ‘do it once, do it well’.
People were nominated for demonstrating pride in their work by customers, employers and colleagues.
Each nominee received a framed certificate and small glass trophy from the Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour Daybreak.
