AN enrolled nurse at Baringa Private Hospital who is “as fresh, motivated and industrious as she was at the beginning of her 17 years’ employment” with the hospital is the latest worker to be recognised for commitment to her job by an employer.
Baringa Private Hospital has singled out Fay Gardner for a nomination in the Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour Daybreak Pride of Workmanship Awards.
Hospital chief executive officer Elizabeth Ruthnam said: “Fay Gardner is quite simply a star!”
“Like many of our staff, she is from the ‘old school,’ so her commitment and service to her patients is always thorough and of a very high standard.
“She is also a committed professional who is happy and comfortable with new technologies and treatments.”
The Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour Daybreak has developed the Pride of Workmanship Awards to acknowledge workers who display outstanding qualities in their approach, dedication, attitude and commitment to their job.
Nominations are free and welcome from both employers and customers, although employers will be asked to pay for any nominated employees to attend the Pride of Workmanship Awards dinner in late November.
Nomination forms are available for downloading from www.coffsharbourdaybreak.org or by calling into the Coffs Coast Independent offices at 31 Park Avenue, Coffs Harbour.
