Kissy kissy

IT makes a change from kissing babies… Member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser ,believes the State Government needs to cut red tape and show some support for tourism-based small business like Coffs Harbour’s Pet Porpoise Pool.

Mr Fraser spent Tuesday morning getting to know the staff and residents of the Pet Porpoise Pool as part of the NSW Business Chamber’s Pollies for Small Business program.

He said the Pet Porpoise Pool suffered two-fold at the hands of the Government’s strict legislation, facing tough restrictions on stock replacement, as well as the usual trials of meeting OH&S and other general business requirements.

“I am fearful that the way we are going in NSW, attractions like this might disappear,” Mr Fraser said.

NSW Business Chamber, chief executive Kevin MacDonald said Pollies for Small Business put politicians at the coalface, giving small business operators a chance to raise their concerns.
