New airport lounge opens

02 Jul, 2009 10:57 AM
MAYOR Keith Rhoades officially opened a new lounge area at the Coffs Harbour Regional Airport yesterday.

The 63-seat lounge opposite the current departure area and next to Biggles Flight Lounge was long overdue, according to airport manager Dennis Martin.

The new addition to the terminal includes internet stations, wireless internet and a flat screen television.

Mr Martin said apart from the steel work and carpet laying, the renovation was completed by airport staff.

“It now gives casual visitors to the airport somewhere to sit,” Mr Martin said.

A small function was held yesterday to thank airport staff for their involvement in the renovation.
