People were lined up three deep, six people across for three hours on Saturday.

All clubs must nominate their teams, which will be competing in this year’s competition, by this Friday, february 26.

Orientation Day will take place on Saturday, March 20 in the Toormina Girl Guides Hall. It is then that players will find out who their coach will be, who they will be playing with and what their scheduled training times are.

They can also take the opportunity to buy Sawtell FC socks and shorts. Times to attend are under- 6-7 at 9.30am, under 8-9 at 10am, under 10-11 at 10.30am, under 12 boys and girls at 11am, under 13-14 boys and girls at 11.30am and under 15-16 boys and girls at noon.

Senior women’s coach Rachel Oberleuter said she still has some places left in the first and second division teams.

Rachel will be coaching the girls at the Toormina ovals on Mondays and Thursdays at 6pm.

Senior men’s coach Ian Glover said there were still some spots available in all divisions.

He said he had found one goalkeeper, but needed a couple more, so if you are interested give him a call.

In the over-35s, there are still a few spots left in the two teams.

This year the North Coast Football Referees are looking for people who would like to improve their knowledge of the rules of the game or would like to enrol in a course to referee (minimum age 14 years this year).

They will be running referees’ courses at various locations in 2010, depending on nominations.

The course includes law chart, training DVD, work books and lesson manuals. Bookings are essential.
