26 Feb 10 | COFFS Coast Outriggers returned from the National Sprint Titles held on the Gold Coast recently with the coveted title of senior club champions. After its biggest victory yet as a club, the current national champion is beaming with pride at the great result.

11 Feb 10 | SAWTELL Surf Lifesaving Club has earned a major new supporter following a recent fundraising night held at the Sawtell Bowling and Recreation Club. Surf club representative Bruce Coomber said more than $2400 was raised on the night.

04 Jan 10 | WITH all boats safely home, Dark & Stormy Witch, the Murray Custom 37 owned and skippered by the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club’s (RPAYC) Bruce Staples and Jim King, has taken out the coveted IRC overall handicap honours in the 2010 Pittwater to Coffs Harbour race. In PHS, the winner was Kerry Burke with his Northshore 370 Mortgage Choice Rumba, representing the Middle Harbour Yacht Club.

18 Dec 09 | A PARTNERSHIP between Coffs Harbour City Council, Woolgoolga Chamber of Commerce and Woolgoolga Surf Lifesaving Club has secured the NSW IRB Championships for 2010-11. Up to 300 competitors from all over the state, plus an equal number of supporters, as well as local surf lifesavers from across the region, are expected to converge on Woolgoolga for the championships.

14 Dec 09 | THE Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, hosts of the Pittwater and Coffs Harbour Offshore Series, has secured a partnership with McConaghy Boats for the 2009-10 series, which begins on December 30. The winner of the overall IRC Division of the four-race Pittwater and Coffs Offshore Series will win a new McConaghy Carbon Fibre Steering Wheel worth $3500.
10 Dec 09 | THE entry deadline for the 2010 Pittwater to Coffs Harbour offshore yacht race has been extended until Friday, December 18 as more entries are expected following a number of enquiries as last Friday’s deadline loomed. At the provisional close of entries, host club The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (RPAYC) reported 48 yachts had entered the race, dubbed the 'warm water classic', starting on January 2.

Alistair charged up the final straight and turned Dave McCarthy’s dream of victory into a nightmare of another defeat and he was still gnashing his teeth at the presentation.

10 Nov 09 | THE RAAF Roulettes will be one of the highlights of this year’s Oztag National Championships in Coffs Harbour from November 13-15. “There’ll be plenty of action on the fields during the championships, but we wanted to add an extra bit of excitement, so we’ve invited the Roulettes to do a fly-past,” said Bill Harrigan, tournament director and well-known former NRL referee.
05 Nov 09 | BELLINGEN youngster Jai Tennant landed an Australian record during the recent Bellingen Eel Fishing Championship staged by the Urunga Anglers’ Club. The 10-year-old reeled in an 11.655kg monster, beating the previous best of 10.49kg held by Danny Osland, also from Bellingen.
30 Oct 09 | COFFS Harbour will host a round of the Navy Australian Surf Rowers League Series in November. The Coffs Coast round will be held in conjunction with the Coffs Harbour Surf Club’s annual Craft Carnival at Park beach.
30 Oct 09 | COFFS Cost surfer Harley Ingelby is the new ASP World Longboard champion, his runner-up finish at this week’s Oxbow Maldives event good enough to claim the 2009 crown. “It’s the best day of my life,” Ingelby said.
