Bonville to host more state golf titles

29 Oct, 2009 11:06 AM
BONVILLE Golf Resort is set to host six state titles over the next three years after securing the rights to the NSW men’s and mixed fourball championship finals until 2012.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of the resort’s successful staging of the 2009 men’s fourball championship final last week.

“This is great news for the Coffs Coast, securing this prestigious event and also the Keno Mixed Fourball state final again until 2012 as many other golfing destinations were bidding for the event,” resort general manager Brad Daymond said.

“These events see over 24,000 players enter at a local level each year, all of whom hope they can make the state final here on the Coffs Coast.”

Last week’s Sureshotgps NSW men’s fourball final was won by Terry Hills Golf Club pair Peter Rae and Dieter Monch. Runners-up were Mark Kemister and Matthew Hayes from Woolooware.
