TEAM owner and North Coast V-Twins dealer principal Ashley Beaton has named his three riders and leading technician for an assault on the 2010 Australian Road Race Championships.
Riding new Ducatis will be eight-time Australian Pro Twins Champion, Craig McMartin, rising talent Beau Beaton and newcomer Ryan McLachlan.
“I am looking forward to this year’s championships with much anticipation and excitement,” Ashley said.
“We have never before had such a talented and competitive line up of riders as the three we have for the 2010 season.”
As well as eight Australian Pro Twins Championships, Craig also has won the international Daytona Battle of the Twins title and has talent and experience with Ducati.
He will contest Superbikes in the ASBK Series on a new Ducati 1098R Bayliss Replica and will be a force to be reckoned with on the grid.
Beau made a huge impact on the circuit in his debut 2009 season with his raw talent.
He will join Craig in the ASBK series competing in Superstock 1000 on a new 2010 Ducati 1198 S.
With many victories in the 2009 season, including winning the ASBK C&D grade Superstock 1000 title and sealing third outright, Beau is focussed and looking to capitalise on this for his 2010 season in B grade.
Young gun Ryan will take his 2010 Ducati 1198 S to compete in the new Formula Xtreme series this season.
In 2009 he raced a part-time program with some great outcomes in F1 Bears and Pro Twins.
Ryan is a fast and very competitive rider with loads of talent and will be a strong contender in this series.
North Coast V-Twins Racing is also happy to welcome back Mark ‘Doc’ Downie as the team’s head technician after a three-year break to pursue other career avenues.
Doc’s presence and knowledge of the Ducati’s will be invaluable in the team’s preparations and travels for this season.
“This is the best team North Coast V-Twins Racing has had in our 20 plus years of involvement in the industry,” Ashley said.
“We are looking forward to some great results in 2010.”
