RUGBY league legends Tom Raudonikis and Arthur Beetson will give local fans an insight into the birth of State of Origin when they visit Coffs Harbour next week.
The highly decorated pair were the NSW and Queensland captains for the inaugural State of Origin match in 1980, won 20-10 by the Maroons.
Together they have become popular entertainers and local fans are in for a treat when they talk all things rugby league at the Coffs Harbour Rugby League Club’s Birth of Origin charity dinner at the Hoey Moey on Friday, April 9 from 6pm.
The fundraiser includes a sit-down meal and show, with tickets costing $45.
There also will be an auction of memorabilia items, with funds raised from the evening helping with running costs of the Coffs Harbour club.
Tickets are available from the Coffs Harbour Leagues Club, the Hoey Moey or Café Bellisimo.
