<description><![CDATA[WHILE the Ozanam Villa ‘family’ of staff, volunteers and residents are almost entirely moving together across the highway to new accommodation in St Josephs Aged Care facility, it won’t be the same for anyone. Today will be the official closing ceremony for Ozanam Villas, tucked behind St Augustine’s Primary School and run as an aged care residential facility by Catholic Healthcare.

<description><![CDATA[THE floods of earlier this year seem certain to rob Sawtell of some of its most popular and precious visitors this summer. The well-established breeding grounds of the endangered little terns were largely washed away by floodwaters gushing out of Bonville Creek in March, April and again in May, and it is now likely very few, if any, chicks will be hatched this breeding season.

The Beach Christmas campaign has won the North Coast Branch of the Surf Life Saving Association (SLSA) the Ministers Award for the Most Significant Contribution to Water Safety by an Organisation at the NSW Water Safety Awards.

<description><![CDATA[A REPORT compiled for the Federal Government on the flood surveys completed by the Coffs Coast community has revealed that a quarter of residents forced from their homes by the March 31 storm have still not returned. “The surveys show that 25 per cent of people are still living away from their homes, while 10 per cent will never be able to return," said Coffs Harbour Mayor, Keith Rhoades, who co-chairs the Coffs Coast Recovery Committee with Bellingen Shire Council Mayor, Mark Troy.
